There are loads of Cape Town hostels to choose from, but the Backpack and Africa Travel Centre is a truly unique place - a hostel with a conscience. As well as the stylishly decorated rooms, a huge pool, and a buzzing internet cafe, the hostel runs volunteer projects, so you can make a difference on your travels. Try helping children with their homework, coaching a soccer team, or knit a blanket for a baby. There's also more light-hearted fun in the form of Traditional BBQs and Pool competitions.
