Because of Laos being one of the most Buddhist countries in South East Asia, it is not strange that you can find his image everywhere and anywhere. The most obvious place is of course one of the thousands of temples scattered all over the country. Sometimes they are run down, abandoned, or just closed. But many times they are brilliant and gracious houses of faith. In some instances, Buddhas can even be found in caves turned into temples.
Buddha comes in all sizes. Some are tiny statues, the size of a finger, while others are immense, higher than a three-storey building. Often they have an orange cloth hanging down from their left shoulder. And they come in many positions, seated in the well-known pose with crossed legs, but also with one or two hands stretched out toward the spectator. Every pose has its own meaning. 
No matter their size, the Buddha statues always impress, always demand a certain respect. They radiate peace, tranquility, and in a peculiar way, power. And in any case, they are esthetically attractive. That's why you can find a few examples of Laotian Buddha's on this page.
