Located at the river Isar, Landshut is a town some 70 kilometres north of the city of Munchen. It is also typical of Bavarian towns, with colourful houses everywhere in the centreas well as some great churches. Together with the cobblestone streets, Landshut has a cozy atmosphere. Every house has a different facade and a different colour. Walking around the centre therefore keeps your head directed towards the sky. 
It is also possible to go walking, running or cycling. There are attractive cycle and walking paths along the Isar river, which can be followed for long distances in both directions. Landshut also boasts an island in the middle of the Isar, where some restaurants are located.
