Read about and see pictures of Honduras One of the true joys of traveling in Honduras, were the people. It is difficult to say the people when referring to Honduras, since there are so many different people in this Central American country. A large majority is mestizo or ladino, meaning they have mixed European and Central American Indian forefathers. There are also Amerindians, and then there are also blacks and whites. In general, whatever their race, the people I met were friendly, curious to foreigners, sometimes shy, but almost always cordial and helpful. Travel to Honduras
