Help Haiti
As someone who has visited Haiti a few years ago, I can tell you that even before the horrible earthquake, it was one of the poorest countries I ever visited. I was struck by the history of the country, the courage of people to live in difficult circumstances, the faith they had that their future would be better - one day. The misery and destruction that the country is facing right now, can only have one answer: massive global support. Not just short-term relief for the victims of today, but also long-term efforts to support the people in their development. I would like to ask you to select an organization of your choice and donate. Today. Moreover, we at Traveladventures.org will donate the proceeds of this months ads on our site to an organization committed to long-term support. Donate now!

On a personal note: I just learned that the guesthouse we stayed in in Haiti back in 2007 was flattened by the earthquake - with two staff losing their lives. What a chilling thought.
